Would NBA 2K ever contemplate matchmaking based on an Elo rating or similar

Would NBA 2K ever contemplate matchmaking based on NBA 2K MT an Elo rating or similar?

It boggles my mind that a match like this doesn't care more. At the moment, it seems like there's some minimal attempt to coordinate with the overall ratings of the MyNBA 2K player personalities, but little to match on skill level of the actual NBA 2K players. I'm not crazy for thinking that both good and bad NBA 2K players can enjoy NBA 2K more if they had been consistently matched with NBA 2K players of their skill level, right? The problem at the moment is that, at least based on what's visible to the consumer, the steps that are available that you'd use to infer skill are pretty lousy.

The MyRep tier is not particularly good, as unskilled NBA 2K players may play a lot of games, boosting up their MyRep. Of course there's win percent, but once you start to perform matchmaking based on ability, win% will no longer be a very good measure, since in the event the matchmaking is powerful, people's win% would stay approximately 50%. (If one NBA 2K participant is good and another is bad, both may have win% around 50%, only one guy is doing it against great competition, and yet another is doing it at poorer competition, both paired to their skill level.)

So what about something like an Elo rating? This is an evaluation system used in games such as chess to accommodate NBA 2K players into other NBA 2K players of similar level. It is a bit like the RPI in college basketball, even in which it is not about your win%, but your win% while accounting for the strength of your competitors. I mean, great NBA 2K players deserve to have additional good teammates rather than feel like"Dude, what's this random doing?" Poor NBA 2K players also have to enjoy NBA 2K, by playing people who are still equally matched to their own skill level. It does not look like it would be tough to execute.

I agree, when quarantine began, me and a few of my buddies got back to 2k and we love to play with all the time to MyNeighborhood with each other. I can't say enough how annoying it's to be moving against a 95+ glock, and two 95 risks every match when my friends are around 80-90. Doesn't matter if we switch lobbies, go to various courts, etc. we're always completely under the level of our opponents.

But for the casual NBA 2K players NBA 2K is not really friendly, moving against someone who can green 7 seven threes in a match within the first 2 minutes has so repetitive and is not enjoyable at all to play against. Don't get me wrong it is buy NBA 2K MT Coins not interesting to lose but to play against insanely degree NBA 2K players is not fun for my pals and me.
