On Monday, Chris Johnson, the legendary running back who once set one of the fastest records in NFL history and was known as "CJ2K," revealed in a television interview that he has been diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) in 2025.
Johnson's condition has deteriorated faster than imagined. In just one year, this once-robust running back, who broke the 2,000-yard mark while wearing an nfl jersey, is now unable to lift his 7-year-old daughter. During the interview, he could only speak using an eye-activated speech generator. However, this resilient running back remains determined to continue fighting the disease, stating that ALS has changed his physical abilities, but not who he is.
Chris Johnson was the Titans' first-round pick in 2008, possessing incredible speed during his playing career. In his second season wearing the Tennessee Titans jerseys, he amazed the league with a 2,006-yard dash. His highlight reels are considered by many fans as their introduction to American football.
