Grinding Gear Games releases the upcoming patch 1.2.4 for Path of Exile on October 22nd. Two new abilities are implemented in the POE Currency, both based on intelligence. The skills are named "Herald of Thunder" and "Lightning Tendrils". Both are lightning damage abilities. You can get the ability "Herald of Thunder" for Witch, Templar, Shadow and Scion via the quest "Lost in Love" in Act 3 on normal difficulty level. "Lightning Tendrils" is available for Witch, Templar and Scion as a reward for the quest "Enemy at the Gates" in Act 1, also on Normal difficulty level.

In addition to the new abilities, two new, unique items come into play. You can also buy new skins and decoration items in the shop via microtransactions. Some of these are effects that you can use to spice up your hideout. These main contents of patch 1.2.4 are joined by various fixes of errors and changes to the POE Exalted Orb balance.
