Blizzard have confirmed Diablo 4 is still getting Set Items, though you'll likely have to wait until the day after launch for them to be used in game.

The game's director Joe Shely explains during a recent roundtable discussion that reimagining sets in a manner which is suitable for Diablo 4 properly wouldn't be likely to be available for launch until next year, even though they are considering making them part of it's live services.

"As we've been developing the game, we felt that we could build sets in a different way relative to what we've seen during Diablo 3. We just needed additional time to incorporate them into the game in an order that could work well with other elements of Diablo 4, so you won't see sets at launch within the game." Shely explains. "We believe that sets are awesome, and we're looking to do them right - which is why cheap Diablo IV Gold we're taking a look towards for live play."
