You just can't go back in time and hope to rekindle the feelings. It's over, it is completed. WOW WOTLK Classic Gold is not a novelty, we all know every single pixel of the map, each pursuit, each npc, every-everything. And that's why 99 WOW players out of 100 won't stop in amazement when starting a new toon in Elwynn forest: since we've seen the starting zones 1000 times. It is a job, for most WOW players. I am pretty sure that lots of frozen accounts would continue to be busy if Blizzard unlocked free 120's, free allied races, 100% free transmogging, free land migration, free faction change, etc.. I would be enjoying WOW WoTLK Classic too, rather than waiting/hoping for the next growth.
When we had more resources to play with, I am certain that we'd be a LOT more interested in playing WoW. But in fact WOW WoTLK Classic is grinding to get small/copy-paste rewards. People stopped getting involved since there is nothing. Sure, some people can get it done, there is no doubt about that. We are different, the world is different. And WOW WoTLK Classic was undergone boundless times already.
