Diablo 2: Resurrected Update Reintroduces a Classic FeatureDiablo II: Resurrected has received an update last week which brought back a feature from within the first Diablo II game. That feature is the Ladder system that gives players a chance to compete against others via a more competitive way of playing through the game's story with the characters they've created.
The Ladder system comes with many different variations and is now available for players to play again or try for the first-time, depending on if they played the initial Diablo II or not.
If you did play the original version prior to this version, you'll have a good understanding of some fundamental features of the Ladder system. It's available in Classic, Hardcore Classic, Expansion, and Hardcore Expansion variants with each variant having different rules regarding how many lives players get and the content available.
"Each modes will be equipped with their own leaderboard , where players compete to gain experience strategically within the limited timeframe, and also have access to content specific to the Ladder mode," Blizzard's announcement about the launch of the Ladder game in Diablo II: Resurrected said. "When the Ladder season ends, leaderboard rankings will reset as characters are switched to non-ladder mode D2R ladder items buy, giving players an opportunity to win."
