There are two signs of intelligence, focus and flexibility. Jagex does not have either RS Gold. Jagex is adamant in its method of ramming through updates. Its primary focus is dollars and not the people. Jagex communicates poorly. This is the root of the issue. The root of the issue is in the Runescape forums. Jagex and other players can communicate and help Runescape get back on track.
Perhaps Jagex thinks that adjusting itself to copy all other MMOs will ensure that it is able to keep Runescape from dying. Another variation on the idea of adapt or die. But the real answer is that Jmods are limited to the extent and to whom they talk to. It's all about time.
They are able to only speak to a handful of people per day. The majority of Jmods are likely to have a small selection of players they speak to, if they have any. These relationships will have developed over time and will basically constitute "Yes!" groups that follow the Jmod's lead. Fmods (some disguised as Jmods) are responsible for preventing any dissent in forums.
It's gotta be changed, Jagex has to adapt its forums. First, drop the Fmod program entirely, make Fmods a paid job with Jagex and with the highest standards required Buy OSRS Accounts. No more Fmods calling players "you lot" and so on. Fmods are destroying sections on the forums.
