EA Sports continues to Mut 22 coins release ratings for the Madden NFL 22 season. Green Bay Packers edge rusher Za'Darius Smith was not impressed by his rating for this game.
Smith has consistently been one of the best edge rushers in the league during the past two seasons. Smith has been given a "Madden", overall rating of 89. This puts Smith 10th among edge rushers.
Smith's discontent is normal. Despite making the top 10 in his position, it's a case could be made Smith deserves more of a better overall score. Smith has made it to two Pro Bowls in his two seasons with the Packers and is one of the top players in the NFL.
According to Pro Football Focus, Smith has 144 pressures in the past two seasons, which is fourth during the regular season. StatMuse reports that Smith has 26 sacks over those two seasons, which is comparable to Aaron Donald and ranks third in the NFL for the most since the beginning of 2019.
All of the edge rushers in the top 10 are deserving. It's tough to identify the top 10 pass rushers in the league. There are many of them. Smith's inclusion is a testament to cheap Madden 22 coins his abilities, but it's not unreasonable to suggest that Smith's rating should be more than 90.
