Lunar New Year is getting underway slightly later than normal this season, perhaps because of the Hanzo skin challenge that happened in January to mark the arrival of this Kanezaka map. This is going to be the last seasonal event before BlizzConline within a couple of months, when we will finally learn a little more about Overwatch 2.The biggest thing for me is that performing them prices stubs. Why should I shed in game currency from enjoying the game?Two changes I want to see be made are: Mini-Boss ties still progress the showdown but you don't get any rewards, Showdowns count for TA assignments.
Instead of increasing difficulty automatically though the Showdown moments (Rookie, Veteran, All-Star, Hall of Fame), give the player the ability to place 1 difficulty for the entire Showdown.
This is one I've seen indicated many times, and I enjoy it.The problem is that it's hard to balance.
If you change this up, how can SDS please everyone when you take the existing veteran difficulty phase 2 showdowns, that are rather low difficulty for fantastic rewards.. And turn them to the very same rewards but legend difficulty. If we are being honest, the amount of exp, stubs, and vouchers you earn in a stage two veteran difficulty showdown should really be a legend or hall of recognition difficulty grade. We got off easy with these point 2 showdowns being on veteran difficulty and rewarding 5 TA vouchers (I appreciate these at approximately 10k stubs), such as 30k(?) Exp, a series pack, silver player, and 4k(?) Stubs for about 90 minutes or not if you're efficient.
