Defensively, melee is the most vulnerable. Beside receiving splash damage from multi target attackers like Vorago, Nex, and OSRS gold Beastmaster, melee enables small to no manoeuverability against the likes of ROTS twists and Araxxor's swipes. Against enemies which attack with melee and another style, Melee sacrifices much protection granted by Prayer.
Even if it's the debate of raw energy versus practicality, the potency doesn't outweigh the difficulties melee poses. Sure, the pub will do more harm if you hit it hard enough, but you may as well just go with the gun.
One of the few plausible benefits is that melee is low-budget. Items like the enhanced excalibur as well as the Saradomin godsword provide certain healing abilities. If you would want anything with, for instance, magic, you'd have to switch into ancients and reach some bloodstream spells. Once you get to auras, scrimshaws and poisonous weaponry, it all matters little.
All these I believe are simply fine. They encompass the conclusion of things in RuneScape, doing"all of" the tasks in all significant regions of RuneScape. But there are some odd ones. "The Annihilator" title. Can you count that as post-quest content? Or a title from RS07 Gold a new slayer monster? In case post-quest articles, then it kind of makes sense, actually finishing the quest to it is full.
