Episode 5 leaves Earth behind and PSO2 Meseta contributes to the ARKS world class. Starting from the end of Episode 3, where Persona is trapped at a time loop using the Profound Darkness, the heroes, you and Matoi, try to split Persona out. An anomaly happens, and you end up in a new world named Omega located in a black hole using old and new characters battling corruption once again. Omega is designed with dream in mind. You will find castles, dragons, siege-like quests and kingdoms all surrounded by something that they call magic, but players will recognize as photons. It sounds like another detour from the original three Episodes, but it comes back around to events with Oracle, and much of the lore is explained. Just make your way through the story to find out.

Buster Quests are a very important part of Episode 5, with many of the story's battle quests using their mechanics. These new quests are also accessible at the pursuit counter and may be done with the eight-player multiparty. They're similar to the Apprentice Urgent Quest, where players need to work together to protect towers out of oncoming enemies. However, there are plenty of new mechanisms which make this fresh with how it's more siege-like. After shielding the towers, weapons have been set up and need to be protected to breach the castle at the opposite end of this field. Once it is breached, everyone has to make their way to the boss -- that the castle itself. Buster Quests get gradually more challenging as their level could be built up like Extreme Quests. Obviously, new quests mean new items, however there are also new awards to be got and a new store to go along with them.

There's plenty of fresh content with Episode 5 to help keep players active, and the narrative is back to being centered around ARKS and fighting the Dark Falz. Alongside these exciting new features, new items and Scratch Tickets will also be out, and new Urgent Quests will be on how to freshen things up in PSO2. There are still lots of details to be revealed as time goes one, but some major things like combat and the world are much clearer. Hiro Arai from Sega has been live for almost an hour to show footage off of gameplay and speak about what new items are on the way. Not much was mentioned about the current game and the upgrade coming alongside NG's release aside from the graphical upgrade, which will be looking great.

Maps are no more divided up into areas with loading screens. NG is going to have a completely open world from the home base to the field. The TGS footage showed off a gorgeous new world that's a substantial upgrade from the current game. Blades of grass blow in the end, lush forests lie on the opposite side of valleys and frosty mountains could be viewed at the distance. Arai mentions that different regions can be attained seamlessly simply by traversing the world. It seems like that is the planet Naberious from the present game, with woods being next to tundra and different areas. Areas are still technically divided up, but there's no loading between them. While it has not been straight said, an open world such as this implies there might not be single celebration areas anymore. Most shown in the footage were multi-party regions where there were other players. The cap for multi-party areas has been reduced to eight down from twelve in the current PSO2, but who you see will differ from area to buy Phantasy Star Online 2 Meseta area.
