Can Mutes Function? Welcome to Part One of my string of problems with this community. Well, a mute is the punishment given to a person if they have broken up a rule to a extent that action must be removed. Let's bring out the key word there; punishment.

Punishments are given all the time, to get a large collection of reasons. The most typical of them are censor evasion, advertisements and discussing inappropriate matters. Why are the granted? They are allegedly given to stop someone creating another event of rule-breaking within the community; and also to give the player time to think over their action, and weather they'll do it again. Can they have this desirable result? No.

The issue with muting is that a large majority of gamers don't take them seriously or in the ideal way. Many players will immediately begin complaining, ranting and planning revenge on the individual that had originally reported them for their activities, if the individual has come forward truthfully. I'll explain this in greater detail in the future, there's another difficulty; Quickchat. Quickchat was made with just two motives in mind. The first being to assist individuals display set messages faster, and also the second to allow individuals who are muted to convey normally. Yes, communicate normally. Many people don't realise that people who are muted have as much freedom of speech just as somebody who is not. Yes, they can't explain complex matters, but they could still speak normally and fluently, and cause chaos.

The machine Quickchat was created with permits a set sequence of important strokes to state a specific phrase. There's nothing stopping someone using these sequences and flood the conversation window with pointless phrases. They are muted, and they can still junk. The reason they abuse this system isn't neccessarily it is there to misuse, they do it because they're in a situation that they don't want to be in, since in their opinion, someone has needlessly reported them for a matter that they think is nice, even if it is serious. What they want to do so is cause as much chaos as possible as a revenge to this person, and when they do get unmuted, the cheap RuneScape gold very first thing they do is face the individual who reported them, if they understand, or just fire.
