Nice to see there are individuals here who played with the sport around same time . I began in 2001, before they released The Wilderness and Runite lol. Those were much easier days. I got hooked as well. Went PKing in the Wild at Varrock and Edgeville. That was a few of my best online memories. I am curious, are you currently in web development or some type of computer science discipline today? I am half expecting you to say"and this RuneScape gold is what made me launch my own company doing X" but that I half expect one to say"World of Warcraft forever destroyed that dream" because you got in so deep. I wished to go into computer science but ended up joining the military at 19. Did this for 6yrs. It kept me occupied. . Then after the military, I needed to go to school for computer science but was always having living and financial hardship. I worked for a couple tech firms after the army, one as a real web developer making WordPress plug-ins for a marketing company in my late 20s, but was laid away with half of the devs two months to it. Then did trucking for some time hoping to save up money for college that way, but trucking sucked and that I had to give up a few companies due to them screwing me on pay, having me push unsafe trucks, etc.. . So I got into safety. That didn't pay much.

I moved into hauling fugitives across the country but that kept me busy, plus I needed to quit that job because they needed me to drive a massive greyhound sized prison bus plagued by problems that I quit. . So I got into federal security. They screwed me over for reporting a safety issue having an unstable Co worker. . So now I just recently got into doing administrative security work for an approaching $800m Facebook data centre as an access control specialist/coordinator. I'd still like to go to college for computer science once I have money saved up, utilizing that cash and my gi invoice from the army. . Being that I've needed to move a couple times and this particular job is newer, I'm short on money. . But the plan is set up and I am working towards it. I'm now 31yrs old. Working towards a target that I feel kinda stemmed from runescape once I was 12.

Man I loved Runescape, got to it about the same period, but we only had dial up net and it was a chore to play on such a connection. I can not remember how far I progressed with my personality before I gave up having to jockey for time on the line and dealing with link drops.
