PSO2 would be a fantastic match for you

Level cap unlock quests are really bothersome. Why do I need to have a 13* +35 weapon to cheap meseta pso2 level Lv75 that is beyond? It's just a hurdle thrown into slow your progress. Who finds these fun? Most quests (client orders) are just kill or fetch quests. There are so many, but all of them are amazingly dull. Some client orders are extremely annoying to perform. The ones especially. The majority of them ask you to kill x enemy but everything you know is that field that enemy is located in. Which means you've got to run around for ages at a large shitty map looking for the mob you're supposed to kill, because the wiki does not tell you exactly where they unfold. It's not like the mobs are even remotely hard so it becomes a chore to kill.

The narrative is absolutely terrible but at least it just is made up of cutscenes now and I really don't think it's necessary to clear to progress (considering you FFXIV). Having to cover skill tree foliage stinks. I know someone is going to answer to the with"just wait for a free reset lol" but no I am not going to wait for SEGA to launch a balance patch just so I can reset my ability tree, that is fucking dumb. I really don't know when that is going to happen. As a newcomer builds for your class ASAP before you fuck up your ability tree. Mags are stupid as well since they're only stat-sticks which are meant to increase cash shop revenue since you can't reset your Mag's stats.

There's a gacha game on mobile that you can play to acquire EXP on your character. Most people just use the mobile game to spend money on the cash shop since you can use your google account to pay which is a whole lot easier than doing it on desktop. The game is absolute garbage. That is subjective so I'll ignore this although I really don't think the battle is interesting. I know a lot of folks like the combat but I guess the clunkiness of this UI destroyed it for me. In addition, the fact that mobs die in a couple of hits.

If you wish to do tons of simple content PSO2 would be a fantastic match for you. It has convoluted level and equipment development systems to spend hours viewing youtube guides for only so that you can see numbers get bigger. It has an interface but that does not matter when everything dies. I guess you could do Masquerade depth 999 which seems like one of the few bosses that are endgame which can kill you in 1 29, if you like hardcore articles.

It also seems like the endgame is based around soloing content like Masq 999. Bosses don't really have"team jump rope" mechanics that need everyone to do something to solve a mystery like XIV for example. That's fine if you enjoy soloing but it turns every mechanic into aoe spam. You are able to invest lots of buy Phantasy Star Online 2 Meseta money buying scratch tickets should you like to gacha.
