The issue is not being understood by A lot of people in this thread. Ping is not the problem here, it is the fact that once a planet gets over 300 population the responsiveness of rs2007 gold deteriorates to the point where many aspects of RuneScape are unnecessary hard and not fun. It is not unique to Aus, US, EU servers. That is throughout the world noticed by players - it's why pvmers are currently using servers currently. Because back in the afternoon, the servers were set up to handle individuals that were 2k for each world. Since rs's people has dropped so much over time, they have turned down each server's capabilities to conserve funds I am sure. That the population is growing again, they're gonna need to scale.

Much more likely is that back when the max player count was originally determined the scripts working on the servers had been much simpler and didn't take a lot of time to operate, but through the years, the complexity has increased but they have not updated their backend architecture to really be able to operate all of the server scripts fast enough to deal with that same quantity of player count anymore. It's likely only the complexity of the scripts being run on the servers now that causes it to slow down once there is a lot of people all requiring server moment to run those scripts.

Other than the engine team hoping to maximize the server scripts, there's probably not a whole lot they could do about it. Depending on how it's currently set up, they could possibly shard their servers, to disperse the server time but that would require them to invest.

People not understanding what the issue is. I counsel people to go on skilling worlds that are portable on DXP. You'll notice the lag on your host afterward. Was not there a thread on the previous DXP showing by using those worlds because of missing you lose xp ticks? I remember even 3-4 decades ago, trying to perform cleanup crystals W2. It had been taking ~2:20 realtime to use a crystal up (that is supposed to function as 2:00 horizontal ). Assuming my recollection of those numbers is accurate, every hour of crystals is really taking one hour and 10 mins.

The number of people actually playing so optimally they even know what they're and how to use them will be likely less then 1 percent of RuneScape pop. I doubt it. The tick process is not some ultra advanced technology that takes a masters to understand, it is more surprising for those who do not understand exactly what a signal is and I do not think anybody is"using" ticks at portsbles. It's 100% clear to buy OSRS GP. I spent hours on w84 and believed it was normal but I moved to some random planet once and only pressing space bar on a popup is literally 5 times quicker.
