Lead game designer Joe Shely appeared to confirm the presence of Diablo IV Gold microtransactions at Diablo 4, speaking to Twitch streamer Quin69 at BlizzCon 2019. Inspired by the streamer about microtransactions, Shely said,"Diablo IV will be available as a base game, and... we're going to get expansions. Additionally you will have the ability to acquire cosmetics in the sport." The streamer then asks,"so, MTX? Is that going to be through some sort of shop?" Shely responds with,"It's very ancient... but." So it sounds like cosmetic microtransactions are going to be a feature in Diablo 4, but hopefully Blizzard is wise to refrain from adding microtransactions which benefit the player in gameplay scenarios, as we've noticed before that pay-to-win mechanisms may often spell doom for even the most mainstream games.

Just like Diablo 3, Diablo 4 won't lock skill categories that are certain to any keys or buttons. Elective Mode allows you to assign abilities to keys you fancy, that was not made clear at the BlizzCon reveal. "Like most other things in the demo, the UI is not final and we'll support Elective Mode-style ability choice. Skill selection and assignment will always be entirely available for all gamers," writes lead systems designer David Kim in a neighborhood update.

Blizzard confirmed in a programmer update that things, which they is due to community feedback regarding the topic won't be featured by Diablo 4. Rather, Blizzard is introducing a consumable that can only be found on monsters in the endgame. One Legendary affix, which may then be applied to a non-legendary thing of your choosing will be featured by the consumable.

We know Diablo 4 will initially release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, but we don't yet know if players on various platforms are going to be able to play with together. It is anything but affirmed at this stage, although that is always the hope. Luckily, Diablo 4 producer Allen Adham is optimistic about creating cross-border play occur. Discussing with The Telegraph at BlizzCon, Adham said that there have been technical hurdles to get over, but that"it is our goal to buy Diablo 4 Gold get to cross-play."
