Video technology should be introduced to English soccer to help referees avoid errors after West Bromwich Albion -defender Gareth McAuley was sent off in a case of mistaken identity on Saturday Nike Air Max 95 Sale Black , referees' chief Mike Riley said.
McAuley was shown the red card -after 90 seconds against Manchester City when referee Neil Swarbrick failed to identify Craig Dawson as the culprit in bringing down Wilfried Bony when he was through on goal.
"We need to see what technology we can use to help get referees' decisions more accurate," Riley, head of the Professional Game Match Officials Ltd (-PGMOL), told BBC radio.
"Neil had four or five elements to judge in half a second and it is that type of situation that would lend itself to technology."
"All referees want to make correct decisions and when you don't do that, you feel you've let yourself and your colleagues down.
"We need to make sure the next time Neil referees Nike Air Max 90 Sale Black , he has learned from the experience and will be a better referee because of it."
Sunderland defender Wes Brown had his red card against Manchester United rescinded earlier this month after referee Roger East dismissed him for a foul on Radamel Falcao despite replays suggesting team mate John O'Shea committed the offense.
Riley said he had been to the Netherlands with PGMOL performance director and former Premier League referee Howard Webb to study the Dutch Football Association's policy of using replays to aid referee's decision making via a headset.
"Technology doesn't provide a solution to everything but we can all think of cases where a quick reference to a video replay would help us get the decision right," he said.

SINGAPORE, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) -- Giant pandas Kai Kai and Jia Jia celebrated their birthdays and second anniversary in Singapore on Friday, according to media reports.
Over 150 guests joined their birthday bash at River Safari and participated in a Panda Lantern Parade to light the way for the future of the endangered species.
Male panda Kai Kai turns seven on September 14, while his female partner Air Max 1 Sale Black , Jia Jia turned six on September 3. The pair of pandas arrived in Singapore on September 6 two years ago. The birthday duo was treated to birthday "cakes" specially designed by students of ITE College West in Singapore.
More than 500 conservation pledges were collected from birthday party guests and members of the public in August, which aims to protect pandas through various ways, from conserving fuel by taking public transport to refraining from using products that may endanger animals.

Phil Neville denied he is sexist and said he has huge respect for women, in his first media appearance after being appointed England women's head coach.
Neville apologised a day after taking the job for past tweets about women.
"I had to - I didn't like the words used," said the 41-year-old. "I'm not a sexist. I've lived my life right."
The appointment has been criticised because of Neville's lack of coaching and women's football experience but he denied the job was a "stepping stone".
